I raved on about the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Foundation some time ago on my Instagram and when I was given the privilege to select an item to trial, I just knew I had to try the IOPE Air Cushion Foundation XP in my shade N23. (Currently obsessed with cushion foundations thanks to Ponikuta)

"What is cushion foundation?
Half BB Cream and half foundation, it promises to create a flawless finish every time with its truly innovative design.

What it does
A one-of-a-kind foundation featuring a cushion that is soaked in foundation, it is designed to be applied by lightly patting onto your face using the special sponge provided (the sponge doesn't absorb any product so nothing goes to waste). The unique application technique provides easily buildable coverage to give skin a radiant and natural look whilst covering freckles and imperfections. Packaged in a sleek and convenient carry case, it's perfect for carrying around in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day. Offers SPF 50+ protection from UVA and UVB"

Here it is, the ever so simple packaging propped together with my wood and indoor plant collection - obsessed much? :)

AM: I tried to take some pictures throughout the day to show how long lasting it is and how simple it is to create that dewy finish. After my regular morning skincare routine, I applied the foundation to only the right side of my face - as you can tell - my natural skin is dull and and I look tired. I found the IOPE Air Cushion Foundation to be more watery in texture compared to my Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Foundation. I love both equally though as it is so easy for cushion foundations to control and build the coverage that you're after.

NOON: Completed the look with brows, blush and lips. I naturally have oily skin so although I like the dewy finish, I like to dust some powder on before my blush :)

PM: As some of you know, I've taken some time off work and have been hitting the gym almost daily. I didn't bother removing my makeup and I also wanted to snap a pic post workout.

It comes sealed with an inbuilt mirror and sponge partition. Best thing is that you don't have to get your fingers dirty! Of course, I'd still recommend washing your hands after application ;)

Selfiee haha. Purple nails are ZOYA in shade Perrie.

Another bonus with cushion foundations is that it comes with a refill!

While travelling to Korea in April, I stocked up and also picked up the HERA UV Mist Foundation, which I can't wait to try as well!

Have you tried cushion foundations? If so, what are your thoughts? I give it a big thumbs up!

If you haven't tried and want to know where you can grab one of these, check out SKINSHIP ~ they currently have a good deal and you can also use my discount code: shiz4skinship to receive a further 10% off!

Twisted-Curl Ponytail

My go to look for a neat and slightly more interesting look - the twisted curl.
If you have thinner hair, this method could help to make the ponytail appear more voluminous and bouncy.
1. Start off with clean straight hair. Tie it up into a ponytail. This will still work whether you opt for a super high or a low ponytail:)
2. Start curling (I use a GHD straightener) small sections of hair into one direction. When you've finished with all sections, use your finger to twist into the direction of the curl and that's it! If product is required, apply and it should last for the whole day!

MAISON TSUMIKI EMPORIUM | The Big Chop

Cut and Colour by Taka さん at Maison Tsumiki Emporium
Didn't realise my hair was so long before! Thanks V for the before pics :)
This is a super late post and now I already need to go and get my hair cut + coloured again! Wondering what colour to go for and whether I should keep my fringe!

MY MINI HAWAII GETAWAY ☀

Depart MEL 27th June > HNL
HNL > BNE > Arrive MEL 1st July

Crystal clear waters of Waikiki beach ☀

The Kahanamoku Lagoon right at the base of our hotel ~ Grand Waikikian Suites by Hilton Grand Vacations. What a mouthful of a name for a hotel hehe. Luckily the local taxi drivers knew how to distinguish all the similar hotel names around that area!
Must selfie with palm trees~
"Can't believe we're in Hawaii~" was my ongoing quote for the short time we spent there. "Can't believe we're going to Hawaii" and "Can't believe we were in Hawaii" were my other two ..

We had breakfast at the cutest little cafe called Cream Pot ~
Cream Pot
Breakfast & Brunch
444 Niu St. Honolulu, HI 96815

The above illustrations came to life! Adorable! Inside was just as cute but I was a little too busy being indecisive over which yummy morning sweets to order.
I ended up choosing the Strawberry Beligum Waffle over the popular souffle pancakes as I like a bit of the crunchy texture! Waffles were demolished in seconds..
We also rented a car for one day and went from our hotel all the way to Hanauma Bay, the Dole Plantation and further up north to Waimea. Well done to M for driving and making use of her international licence!! Terrifying being a passenger heheh (left hand driving) but got used to it soon after .. phew~ A bit of a poser pic below ^^ we hired a JEEP and I just love Hawaiian number plates with rainbows on them!! Australia needs some prettier number plates, too!

Some more breathtaking views of the Lagoon ~

The Ala Wai Canal and the Hawaii Convention Centre on the right. Stunning building from the front and back.

Loving my Hawaiian Lei (flower necklace), a wreath made from real flowers

Stunning views of Hanauma Bay and the Halona Blowhole Lookout

Back to Waikiki Beach (^^)

(◠‿◠

What was meant to be a normal cab ride to the airport became a Limo ride.. same price.. weird but not complaining (´`)

Had to do one of these! Check out some of my other Hawaii pics on instagram with #shizinhawaii

Cute little lizard up at Waimea Forests. I love the trees and plants in Hawaii.. I wish I could bring them back home to Australia and decorate my room with them..

Had no idea pineapples grew like this hahah. This was taken at the Dole Plantation ~ We ate pineapple chilli dog for lunch and also enjoyed the pineapple soft serves, yum!

Rarely do we find our names on these things so we were pretty excited to find both our names!

Pictures just don't do justice to how beautiful the island of Oahu was! Loved the mini getaway and hope you enjoyed the pics! Slowly getting used to the freezing Melbourne weather again :)
