Crystal clear waters of Waikiki beach ☀

The Kahanamoku Lagoon right at the base of our hotel ~ Grand Waikikian Suites by Hilton Grand Vacations. What a mouthful of a name for a hotel hehe. Luckily the local taxi drivers knew how to distinguish all the similar hotel names around that area!

"Can't believe we're in Hawaii~" was my ongoing quote for the short time we spent there. "Can't believe we're going to Hawaii" and "Can't believe we were in Hawaii" were my other two ..

We had breakfast at the cutest little cafe called Cream Pot ~

The above illustrations came to life! Adorable! Inside was just as cute but I was a little too busy being indecisive over which yummy morning sweets to order.

I ended up choosing the Strawberry Beligum Waffle over the popular souffle pancakes as I like a bit of the crunchy texture! Waffles were demolished in seconds..

We also rented a car for one day and went from our hotel all the way to Hanauma Bay, the Dole Plantation and further up north to Waimea. Well done to M for driving and making use of her international licence!! Terrifying being a passenger heheh (left hand driving) but got used to it soon after .. phew~ A bit of a poser pic below ^^ we hired a JEEP and I just love Hawaiian number plates with rainbows on them!! Australia needs some prettier number plates, too!

What was meant to be a normal cab ride to the airport became a Limo ride.. same price.. weird but not complaining (｡´‿`｡)

Cute little lizard up at Waimea Forests. I love the trees and plants in Hawaii.. I wish I could bring them back home to Australia and decorate my room with them..


Had no idea pineapples grew like this hahah. This was taken at the Dole Plantation ~ We ate pineapple chilli dog for lunch and also enjoyed the pineapple soft serves, yum!

Rarely do we find our names on these things so we were pretty excited to find both our names!

Pictures just don't do justice to how beautiful the island of Oahu was! Loved the mini getaway and hope you enjoyed the pics! Slowly getting used to the freezing Melbourne weather again :)

LASHES BY SHIZ ♥ | Eyelash Extensions

Lashes by Shiz ♡ 
Having my own lashes extended for quite some time, I grew to love them so much to a point where the thought of my normal lashes scared me (yes..slightly exaggerated but somewhat true..)! What I'm getting at is that having eyelash extensions made me want to learn the skill and share the lash love! 

I currently work from a little studio in the city (Melbourne) and for close friends I have a beauty bed set up at home. I don't intend to have a salon or do mobile service, however, definitely do have other exciting plans for the future ie. working from my very own new apartment!

REFLECTION | 2014 to 2015 ♥︎

Things I want to will achieve in 2015.
I don't think I've publicly noted down what I want to achieve for this year so I'd like to make a list of things that I will focus on throughout this year. I will come back to this post at the end of the year and review my achievements! This may perhaps be one extremely boring post, but I've decided that it'll be a good way for me to assess my year :)

FOCUS

1.) Read more books! Aiming for at least 10 books (5 English & 5 japanese) I know it doesn't sound like a lot for those who read regularly but I have to admit, I haven't picked up a book in years.. 

2.) Blog more! It goes without saying. No one wants to follow a dead blog. I hope to post a minimum of 5 entries a month. I have to be realistic hehe. I shall start that from Feb ;)

3.) Cook more and improve on the presentation side of things! If you follow me on instagram, you would know how much I love eating out and taking pictures of yummy, pretty food. I want to be able to cook my very own yummy food that is instagramworthy. Yes. Think positive! Haha

4.) Go to apartment inspections. My ultimate goal at this moment is to purchase my own property. Time to start researching (and continue saving) and stop dreaming! This might not happen in 2015 but definitely will be top priority!

5.) Sleep early! (and here I am typing away after midnight..)

6.) Exercise and stretch more! Currently my active lifestlye includes tennis, body pump, running and occasional yoga but I can't wait to be more consistent and try new things!

7.) Work hard on my side business/hobby :)

REFLECTION

Things I achieved in 2014

- Decided to let go of the negatives in my life

- Speak up for myself

- Completed a certificate useful for work
- Travelled

- Underwent an eyelash extension course and started a hobby/side business

- got my motorbike learner permit for my cute vespa ♡

- bought my vespa gts 300 

- worked hard and got a step closer to my own personal goals :)

I'm sure there are many many other things I need to do but for now these points seem most important to me. Let's make 2015 one of the best!
